Tourism in Nancy
Méréville, just 15 minutes from Place Stanislas
The architectural and historical heritage of Nancy is exceptional, there are three main periods. The Middle Ages and the Renaissance, which can be discovered along the alleys of the old town, around the Saint-Epvre basilica and the Porte de la Craffe.
The 18th century, of which the three superb places classified as World Heritage by UNESCO are the most beautiful illustrations: Place Stanislas, of course, with its magnificent fountains and gates designed by Jean Lamour, but also Place de la Carrière and Place de l’Alliance.
Finally, the 1900s, with the famous artistic movement of the School of Nancy which brought together a dozen artists including Emile Gallé, Louis Majorelle or Jacques Gruber, expressed themselves through the many Art Nouveau buildings such as the Excelsior brasserie or the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
